[Blog] - Sierra Vista Elementary teaches kids about gardening

What does Moana Nursery think the students at Sierra Nevada Elementary School, located in Reno Nevada, need to properly care for their class gardens? Well, take a look...

1 - Two Gallon Watering Can

2 - Pair of Children’s Gloves

1 - Pair of Adult Gloves

2 - Trowels

1 - Hand Cultivator

1 - Kid’s Rake

1 - Pruner

1 - Shears

1 - 4 lb. bag of Dr. Earth Tomato, Herb & Vegetable Fertilizer

1 - Dr. Earth Final Stop Insect Spray

4 - Seed packets (to be selected by the students and teachers)
They created this "classroom kit" to provide teachers and students in each grade level with the materials necessary to plant, nurture, and harvest the vegetables in each classroom garden in a 60 ft by 60 ft section on the Sierra Vista Elementary School campus. The Moana Nursery team believes the kits will allow the students to be actively engaged in the cultivation of the gardens at one time.

The kit retails for $110 at Moana Nursery's store on Moana Lane or right here at GiftingWishes. The purchases will be received as donations, with donors receiving 100% tax-deductible credit for their support by the school.
